GSE Visit
The members of the Rotary Club of Paisley Callants were delighted to welcome this year's Group Study Exchange team from Japan. The delegation arrived in Scotland on 5th September and our club's hosts met them the following day.
On Monday 6th September the team visited Paisley Abbey and enjoyed seeing round this historical building in the heart of our town. After some relaxation with their hosts, the delegates attended and made an excellent presentation to members and guests at the club night in the Glynhill Hotel.
On Tuesday the team embarked on their vocational days as follows:-
Makichi Kuramochi - Boyd & Co
Riu Yokota - NS Design
Junicha Takita - Glynhill Hotel
Mami Aoki - Kersland School
Yumiko Inoue - Paisley Museum
We are very grateful to all the above businesses for agreeing to take our Japanese visitors for their vocational day which proved to be very meaningful and informative for all the delegates.
Wednesday 8th September was the 'cultural' day and Manchiki, Riu, Junichi, Mami and Yumiko thoroughly enjoyed all the local places of interest which they visited:- Sma' Shot Cottages, Houston Menswear, Paisley Golf Club to name but a few.
